TCL TVs Launch at CES 2023: QD-OLED TVs and even better mini-LED QLED

The full range of new TCL TVs can be seen at CES 2023, with offerings topped by the company’s Q series models. They range in size from 50 inches to a whopping 98 inches and feature features such as quantum dots and mini-LED backlighting, with the top models featuring a record number of full zones of local dimming in a consumer display, according to the company.

The TCL lineup is headed by the QM8 series. These models will be sold with screen sizes from 65 to 98 inches and feature mini-LED Ultra backlighting, which provides twice the peak brightness and five times more local dimming zones than the company’s 2022 mini-LED TVs. TCL says the QM8 series provides up to 2,300 local dimming zones – the most in any 4K or 8K mini-LED TV. The QM8 series are models with a native frequency of 120 Hz and equipped with the smart interface of Google TV and a built-in subwoofer for a more dynamic built-in sound.
