Ted Lasso Season 3 officially launches on Apple TV Plus on Wednesday, March 15.
Announced as a Valentine’s Day gift, the hit football comedy series Apple TV Plus will finally make its debut on one of the world’s best streaming services in just over a month (at the time of writing, anyway).
The reveal was made with the first trailer for Ted Lasso Season 3. In it, the show’s supporting cast is shown creating their own “Believe” signs in their usual creative way – you know, after the old one was destroyed in the season two finale – and placing them in the AFC Richmond locker room. Check out the trailer below:
The award-winning TV show returns for the first time the Apple TV Plus series launches mid-week. Ted Lassoprevious seasons aired on Fridays, meaning they’ll rival Marvel’s TV shows on Disney Plus – if any exist, e.g. Loki season 2 Or Secret invasionare aired between March and June – for viewers’ attention on Wednesdays, moving forward.
Not content to provide hardcore fans with an official release date and trailer, Apple has also released a plot synopsis for Ted Lasso’s third season.
“The newly promoted AFC Richmond player is being mocked as the media predicts he will be the last in the Premier League and Nate (Nick Mohammed), now hailed as a ‘wunderkind’, works for Rupert (Anthony Head) at West Ham United,” the synopsis reads. .
“In the aftermath of Nate’s controversial departure from Richmond, Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein) becomes assistant coach alongside Beard (Brendan Hunt). Meanwhile, as Ted (Jason Sudeikis) struggles with the pressure at work, continues to struggle with his own personal issues at home, Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) focuses on defeating Rupert, and Keeley (Juno Temple) manages to run her own agency PR. Things seem to be falling apart both on and off the pitch, but Team Lasso is going to give it their all anyway.”
With the official launch date announced, the future of Apple’s original series, which is one of the best Apple TV Plus shows, will once again dominate the discussions. Ted LassoThe creators regularly stated that the show was always billed as a trilogy, but teasing the cast and crew – especially over the past 12 months – has given fans hope that the show can continue in some style after Season 3. It’s not clear if this will be with a fourth season or as a spin-off or two.
Surprisingly, Apple declined to confirm the addition of any actors to the show’s growing cast, opting instead to reveal that all of season 1 and 2’s major players will return in the next installment. So it looks like Ted Lasso season 3 will have more than a few surprises for viewers in the upcoming 12-episode episode.
Here’s that big release date again: Ted Lasso Season 3 will premiere on Apple TV Plus on Wednesday, March 15. New episodes will appear on the streaming platform every Wednesday until the final episode of season 3 premieres on Wednesday, June 7.
